I've just had one of those satisfying days when everything runs like a dream, the project looks fabulous and my client is happy! happy! happy!
Here's Lorraine and Alistair's completed living room, with new curtains, poles, sofas, cushions, console tables, lamps and accessories.
The sofas and console tables arrived on Thursday and my fitter put up the poles, curtains and art yesterday, while I arranged the lamps and other objects.
Lorraine had already had the new floor laid and walls painted so I had a blank canvass to work from, within a generous (but not crazy) budget.
This was how the room looked when I met Lorraine. I showed her a couple of suggestions which she loved, and prepared a fabric schemeboard as well as a PowerPoint schemeboard so we could discuss ideas via email.
Most of my schemeboards start off as a Powerpoint document with all the fabrics and images scanned in, as this is easy to email, discuss and make changes. This is the living room - almost all of the ideas were implimented
The curtains were made up using 3 bands of satin - making the curtain design totally unique. The roman blind and pelmet were made using the 3 same bands of colour.
The pole finials are studded with crystals as are the tiebacks..
The thermostat in the hallway meant we couldn't put up a mirror or picture, so I disguised it with this fabulous deer head with antlers!
